AQL Sampling & Quality Control

What is AQL?

AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) is a statistical measurement used in quality control. It defines the maximum number of defective items allowed in a sample before the lot is rejected.

How can I use your AQL Calculator?

Our AQL Calculator helps you easily determine the sample size and acceptable defect limits. Simply enter the lot size, select the inspection level, and choose the AQL levels. The calculator will provide the results you need for a thorough quality assessment.

Why should I use a third-party inspection service?

Third-party inspection services offer unbiased, independent evaluations of your products and suppliers. By utilizing our expertise, you can mitigate risks, ensure consistent product quality, and avoid costly rework or recalls.

What are the typical AQL levels used in inspections?

Common AQL levels include:

  • Critical Defects (AQL = 0): No tolerance for severe issues that may cause safety hazards.
  • Major Defects (AQL = 2.5): Standard for functional defects affecting product usability.
  • Minor Defects (AQL = 4.0): Tolerated for minor cosmetic imperfections.

How do you determine the sample size for inspection?

We use the AQL table to determine the sample size based on the total lot size and selected AQL level. The sample size ensures a statistically valid representation of the lot’s quality.

Can I customize the AQL levels for my inspection?

Yes, we tailor our inspection services based on your specific quality requirements. You can choose different AQL levels for critical, major, and minor defects based on your needs.

Inspection Process & Reports

How long does an inspection take?

The duration of an inspection typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size of the order, product complexity, and inspection type.
